The Natchez Parkway, one of the oldest trading routes in America is my Highway Rtg. Nashville. The last southern part between Vicksburg and Natchez I've already behind me. Today the last 120 miles north turn.

One of the biggest obstacles earlier, the Tennessee River. With rafts, boats and many fear they acted sooner about it. Traders, refugees, Confederate soldiers with confidence in victory Rtg North, desperate soldiers a few years back Rtg south.

Today is a National Park all the way and always has something worth seeing. In comparison, the road today ..

.. and they way it used to. Furthermore, the traveler still expected a few surprises, like highwaymen, various snakes, mud holes, was taken care of so dull ...

Even so, some Ford was an obstacle, one can still imagine the cursing because of wet feet good ...

it checks if any of the landscape ...

was also seen in smokers, tobacco plantations along the way, the quasi Schultschik stand on the road.

This house is one of the few remaining buildings, was built in 1800 and served as the home of a Fährfamilie who shared the Überfuhr profit with the Indians. The ferryman in itself was hardly at home because of the rather go with the army on Indian Wars was. But his wife has over 50 years lived in the house was certainly exciting that's life in the wilderness as a single woman with children alone ...

And after a total of over 440 miles Nashville reached well the skyline has changed a little but ...

was created on my iPad
